Built-in Split-Phase and Automatic Transfer Switch
When islanded, grid-tied solar inverter-based systems require a transfer switch to disconnect from the grid and are incapable of handling residential 120 V supply without using an external autotransformer, resulting in extra devices on the wall, power conversion efficiency losses (10%) and reduced power output. Idenergy’s technology offers an electronic built-in split phase feature, eliminating the need for an external ‘’gateway’’.
